Junior/Medior DevOps

€3500-€5500 gross per month based on fulltime

Purpose of the role

In this role, you are responsible for designing, implementing and owning the reliability, automation, security and scalability foundation of the EnergySwap platform. You help build the technical platform layer that enables stable product delivery, secure operations and structured international growth. You make a direct contribution to operational scalability, product development, system reliability and EnergySwap’s ability to scale its cloud-native platform across multiple countries.

How you work within EnergySwap

You are part of the Product & Technology team and work closely with the CTO, Architect / Lead Developer, Full-stack Developers and Product Owner. Within EnergySwap, we expect you to take ownership of your own work and actively contribute ideas on collaboration, processes, improvement and growth. As a startup, roles are broader than in a traditional organisation. This means you are expected to combine hands-on delivery with platform thinking and to help professionalise the engineering organisation as we scale. Key responsibilities

You are responsible for executing, improving and further building the activities within your role. You ensure quality, progress, overview and alignment with relevant stakeholders. You identify bottlenecks in time, come up with practical solutions and help to professionalise processes and ways of working.

  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows across development, staging and production environments.
  • Introduce and further develop Infrastructure as Code, cloud environment structuring, observability, security and IAM governance on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Build and improve the technical platform foundation that supports automated testing, platform reliability, cost control and multi-country scalability.

Profile of the ideal candidate Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure or a similar role.
  • Experience in cloud-native SaaS environments, preferably within small to mid-sized engineering teams.
  • Experience in a startup, scale-up or fast-changing environment is a plus.

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, preferably in cloud-native production environments.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud environment structuring, preferably using Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of observability, logging, monitoring, IAM, security governance and scalable platform design; experience with Firebase / Firestore is a strong plus.
